What's the draw

Tapas gets an upmarket makeover at this redeveloped bar and restaurant from the Aqua group, perched in a beautiful room above Regent Street (with roof terrace), which features cocktails from Italian mixologist Luca Missaglia.

What to drink

The wine list is strong, but a pre-dinner cocktail is essential. We plumped for the Catalan sour – built around Haig Club scotch, but with twists in the form of chestnut liqueur and agave.

What to eat

The menu ranges from traditional (pan con tomate and patatas bravas both feature) to artful, new-school dishes. They're not enormous for the price, but we enjoyed beautifully flavoursome pulled crab with green apple, and grilled Iberian pork secreto – a particular, prized cut from the shoulder – with aioli.
