Make Mr Lyan's Tennessee Nitro Martini without a nitrogen tap

The drink, which you can find at Shoreditch bar White Lyan, is like a Jack and coke, mixed with a espresso martini and poured like a Guinness. Here's the recipe

What do you mean you've not got a nitrogen tap at home? Are you joking?

OK, fine, we don't either. But if you want to have a stab at Mr Lyan's Tennessee Nitro Martini – a signature serve at his bar White Lyan and available on a special gig at the bar on 30 September – we've bagged a recipe you can actually make at home.

Ingredients

  • 40ml Jack Daniel's Old No. 7
  • 40ml Biona Tart Cherry Juice
  • 80ml Sandows Cold Brew Coffee
  • 80ml Coca Cola
  • 1 tsp sugar

Method

Make sure all ingredients are fridge temperature. In a half pint glass (preferably of the dimple mug variety) mix the ingredients, then add a heaped teaspoon of sugar and stir vigorously until dissolved. The sugar will cause the gas in the Coke to nucleate out and give a nice froth on top.
