When it comes to Foodies Festival, the clue is in the name: if you're serious about food, this is where you need to be this summer. It'll be taking over the grassy expanse of Southeast London's Blackheath Common from 8-10 July, fully equipped with stages, theatres and markets aplenty to enthral any food lover.

Highlights from the lineup include the southern heat of the British Street Food Awards, where London's best street-food traders will showcase their best dishes to win the tightly contested competition, and a chef's theatre where names such as Rosemary Shrager and 2016 MasterChef winner Jane Devonshire will be cooking up their favourite summer recipes right in front of festival-goers.

Over in the Drinks Theatre, there'll be masterclasses around the story of champagne, wine tastings and beer tutorials; there's even a dedicated Baking Theatre, where burlesque baker Charlotte White will whip up show-stopping bakes alongside demos from master chocolatier Fiona Sciolti, while little ones will be entertained at the Kids' Cookery Theatre.

Elsewhere, if you're feeling tough, you can enter the Chilli Eating Competition – and cool down afterwards with a few cocktails from the impressive Giant Pimms Teapot or the Mojito Galleon. Yep, really, and you can enjoy all this with two-for-one tickets. See the box for details.
