If the name Model Market brings to mind images of beautiful women at low, low prices, then shame on you. No, it's a street food market from the team behind Street Feast, and it's coming to Lewisham this June 2014. There are too many traders to name them all, so it's lucky for you that Adam Layton, one of the market's organisers, is on hand to give you three of his favourites. Traders, that is.

LUNCH

Like quite a few others, Breddos Tacos has taken a Mexican staple and put the London stamp on it – but with with flavours like crunchy nut fried chicken and chipotle and bone marrow roasted short rib, which won Britain's Best Taco at this year's Taco Wars (yep – it's a thing), they stand out from the crowd. Visually, vibrant sauces and artful garnishes mean they're as good to look at as they are to shove down your throat (well, almost). @breddostacos

DINNER

Yum Bun's fluffy steamed buns are way better than any you'll find in New York. Each pillowy-light bun is filled with quality ingredients and packed with fresh and umami-rich flavours. Changing specials such as shrimp and roast duck excite the regular Street Feast crowd, but it's the Pork Belly Buns with hoisin sauce, cucumber and spring onion that we fell for first. @yum_bun

DESSERT

We're working with as many brilliant local traders as possible at Model Market and we've been lucky enough to find South East Cakery on our doorstep. Its Brownie Bar is a great place to relax, have a cup of tea and a little bit of what you fancy. Mix and match brownie bites in salted caramel, vanilla cheesecake, mojito and gluten free lemon polenta flavours. Then lie down and sleep for about five hours, presumably. @SECakery

Model Market launches on 20 June at 196 Lewisham High Street, running every Friday and Saturday from 6pm for 15 weekends. Find out more at streetfeastlondon.com or @streetfeastLDN.
