If the phrase ‘salsa bar’ conjures up images of shirtless Mexicans juggling bottles of multicoloured hot sauces, you’ll be happy to know that you can find… Actually, you can’t find that at Benito's Hat's new Farringdon branch, but what you will find is a range of tasty, distinctive salsas to complement the nachos, burritos and other Mexican staples on offer. Start with one of the impressive sharing boards, make sure to try the nachos, and wash down your burrito with one of a good selection of Mexican beers or margaritas. The menu’s not huge, but it gets the basics right, and the mix’n’match salsa makes it an interesting offering (even without any flairing bartenders). – Mike Gibson
