As the capital's biggest food and drink publication, Foodism knows Londoners' hunger for experiences they can't have anywhere else. Whether it's food pop-ups, restaurant residencies, one-off cocktail menus or masterclasses, these events capture diners' imaginations in a way that goes beyond just going out for drinks or dinner.
That's why Foodism has teamed up with event website Indytute to curate a selection of fantastic, one-off food and drink events that put the diner at the heart of the action, from one-time-only deals for drinks and dinner to charcuterie-curing classes, wine tours and a food-meets-film supper club, there's something for all inquisitive diners to enjoy.

The smell, the taste, there really is nothing like it, but it has to be the proper stuff. Tom Whitaker, chef, butcher and Cannon and Cannon charcuterie maker (oh, and MasterChef finalist 2011) will introduce you to wonderful world of wet and dry cure, while guiding you through a number of different curing methods and piggy recipes. You will learn how to butcher a middle of pork for bacon purposes and there will be hands-on de-boning practice. It begins with a bacon butty and mug of tea. At the end of the session there will be delicious bites of cured meat. Best of all, it'll be you taking home the bacon...
It's the Amalfi coast, late afternoon, the sun is going down and it's too late for tea, too early for supper. What do you do? Obviously, order the largest plate of antipasti at the local trattoria and a couple of delicious Spritz cocktails to see you through until the evening proper kicks in. Yes, you may have just gone to heaven. Here’s the thing, you can't always be on a plane, but the concept of sharing an early evening of deliciousness and a couple of drinks is very much still on the menu. Click for romance (and cocktails) at Stevie Parles, Rotorino.
Iconic car, iconic drink. A superb trip stopping at the best gin bars and distillery in Central London. What's not to love in this brilliant two or three hour trip round the best, hippest gin bars of London. The driver is all part of the experience. He won't be drinking, instead he'll serve as your highly trained local guide, keen to show you all of London's hidden gems.
Get the next generation cooking, a healthy project for kids - with attitude. Imaginative recipes and fun flavour explorations will be used to encourage an interest in food and wellbeing. The children will cook predominately vegetarian dishes together, with each month taking a different theme (seasonal vegetables, fancy grains and guest food experts). The children (aged 10+) will don their 'chef's uniforms' and leave with recipe notes and dish samples to take home and share each week.
