Michelin stars and AA rosettes are serious accolades indeed on the dining scene, but there's another set of awards that are arguably the most exciting on our ever-evolving food world: the YBFs, or Young British Foodies.

Designed to champion new and innovative UK food talent, the awards have previously pinpointed the likes of Tomos Parry, now chef at Kitty Fishers, and Bao, whose pork belly buns have become a cult London dish. They cover everything from food writers to mixology maestros, and they're a sure-fire way of identifying where and what you'll be eating and drinking next year.
