More than 350 restaurants, at least seven Michelin-starred and award-winning chefs and a glorious, month-long celebration of our beloved capital’s ever-growing food scene: London Restaurant Festival is cooking up a recipe for success until the end of October, with a host of events ranging from tasting trails to exclusive dinners with the likes of Michel Roux Jr, Mark Hix and Pierre Koffman.

Highlights include the Champagne Laurent Perrier Gourmet Odyssey (£100 per person), where you can travel in retro style on an iconic Routemaster double-decker bus from restaurant to restaurant for your starter, main and dessert, and tastebud-tantalising restaurant-hopping tours in Carnaby, Victoria, Seven Dials or Chinatown, or following the Japanese or Tapas routes.

The Inspired By London series looks set to be a sure-fire winner, consisting of a champagne reception followed by a specially-concocted four course lunch inspired by the tastes and talents of London. If you're not excited yet, event partner American Express has produced a video which should whet your appetite: a behind-the-scenes look at how some of London's best chefs are inspired by the capital.
