"A persistent memory from childhood Bonfire Nights is toffee apples," says King of Soho's Jamie Stephenson, "and this drink captures the essence of these treats perfectly, only in a very grown-up way..."
Check out the recipe below. Or, for the lazy among you, you can get it at Soho vermouth bar Mele e Pere. Whatever you do, as long as you're celebrating the man's fiery demise by getting drunk around fireworks, that's good enough for us.
- 50ml King of Soho gin
- 60ml pressed apple juice
- 20ml toffee sauce
- 25ml lemon juice
Shake very well and strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with slices of apple.
