Introducing Penrhos Spirits, invented in 2018 by two families in Herefordshire who found themselves frustrated by the fruit waste on their farm. Transforming the old calve shed into a distillery and purchasing a copper still called 'Connie', named after Dickie's grandmother – Penrhos Spirits was born.

There's a tipple to suit any mood, with flavours including a multi-award-winning London dry gin, which uses 'waste' blueberries from the farm, a cloudy rhubarb made with real rhubarb juice and an apple and elderflower – a true celebration of the British countryside.

It's not just excellent-tasting gin either; Penrhos Spirits have equally delicious green credentials. In 2023, Penrhos Gin became the first distillery to move from glass bottles to 100% recycled aluminium bottles, reducing the packaging's carbon footprint by 91% and securing them a silver award at The Grocer Awards for packaging and a gold at the International Wine and Spirits Awards.

That's not the only silverware on Penrhos' shelf either – the Wonky Raspberry Gin also won 'Gin of the Year' at the Gin Guides and caught the attention of Sainsbury's, giving Penrhos its first supermarket listing. Cheers to that.
