The thing about Christmas is it all starts too early, but ends too soon. You'll see Christmas adverts from September, but come 1 January and bam – it's out with the cosy and comforting fairy tale and in with the gym memberships, kale and that bizarre thing known to the disrespectful few as Dry January. (No, us neither.)
